This course will provide students with basic concepts of animal immunology, microbiology, parasitology, epidemiology, vaccination, and how the knowledge can be used to improve animal health and prevent animal infection and disease. Health and disease issues relevant to various species, including sheep, cattle, pigs, poultry, fish and companion animals will be briefly discussed in the class.
This course will provide students with basic biology of domestic avian species in the areas associated with poultry production, including avian genetics, avian immunology, reproduction, growth and development, broiler and layer managements.
